Contemporary YA / LGBTQ+ fiction
Alexandria Mechelle writes contemporary young adult fiction centered on the complicated, beautiful, and sometimes heartbreaking experience of growing up.
Her stories explore identity, friendship, family, first love, loss, and the courage it takes to find your place in the world. With an emphasis on LGBTQ+ representation and emotionally honest storytelling, Alexandria creates characters who face difficult realities while discovering who they are and who they want to become.
Her work includes Rowan’s After, the first book in the What We Hide Within collection.
